Gold plated smartphones appear to be pretty popular as of late, in fact a Rose Gold version of the Galaxy Note 3 cropped up just last week. But if you’re in the market for something even more pricey looking than gold, then Samsung has you covered as well.
The company has just partnered up with Swarovski to create a jewel encrusted Galaxy Note 3 case. Why you might ask, well because its fashion week in New York of course.
Samsung and Swarovski will be launching the cover in three different colors – Jet Black, a custom blend of Crystal Bermuda Blue and Crystal Metallic Light Gold, and Crystal Metallic Silver. But that’s not all, the swanky smartphone cover also comes bundled with a sparkling Swarovski bracelet in a matching color.
The bracelet and cover bundle will be available for purchase at the Swarovski retail store at 696 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York for a limited time only and will retail for a whopping $299. There’s no mention of if you’ll be able to grab the cover online or if you can have it shipped, so it looks like you’ll have to take a trip to the big apple for this one.
In the name of fashion, Samsung and Swarovski have also collaborated to create an exclusive backstage Samsung Galaxy Lounge for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. I can’t claim to understand this business relationship, but Samsung did recently say that it would be trying out new marketing techniques and event sponsorship deals to help curb its marketing costs, so we may see similar collaborations from Samsung in the future.
